Joppe Art

Joppe Art

Posted on: 1st March 2021. Up and coming artist Joppe Verhoeff applies mixed media techniques to create thought provoking pieces. Verhoeff: "I don’t know exactly what I make, but what I roughly make I know exactly. My idea is to make notes of search - and research to the source of confusion and clarity in order to explore new forms of visual and linguistic compositions. I get my inspiration on the street, by going into retreat, by reading books and by listening to music. I am interested in symbols and science and take time to collect and represent my observations, experiences, thoughts, ideas, allowing myself to become completely autonomous. My favourite artists are Cy Twombly, Michel Tedja, Joseph Beuys, Mies von de Rohe."
